WHAT WE DO

At Loft 26 Pilates, our approach to the body is based on the classical background of Contrololgy.


The central element of Pilates is to create a fusion of mind and body, using your body to the greatest advantage, making the most of its strengths, counteracting its weaknesses, and correcting its imbalances. The method requires paying close attention to your body. This is vital and more important than any other single aspect of the movements or the method.



PILATES FOR MEN

Originally Pilates was designed by a man, for men only.  But now, most people think Pilates in just for woman. This is simply not true. Pilates is for everyone. Joseph Pilates was a boxer, swimmer, gymnast and movement lover. It doesn't matter your physical level or aliment, you will be challenged and changed for the better. Pilates will assist you in becoming better with any form of movement you enjoy. 


The program focuses on the core postural muscles that help keep the body balanced and are essential to providing support for the spine. In particular, Pilates exercises teach awareness of breath and alignment of the spine, and strengthen the deep torso muscles, which may help alleviate and prevent back pain.



ALLEVIATE PAIN

The concept of alignment is the key to alleviating pain, increasing strength and flexibility, and feeling your body working optimally. Most people do not know how amazing their body should feel. Each workout will focus on a personal program to get you where you need to be. 


You will feel and see a leaner you because of your personalized handcrafted program. With each session you will walk out better than when you came in. 

MEET ASHLEY ORLANDO

Ashley Orlando is full of energy, passion, commitment and dedication to the principles of the classical system of Pilates. Ashley was certified by Core Pilates NYC in 2007.  This is one of the top Pilates programs in the nation.  She opened Loft 26 Pilates in 2010. 


Ashley will help you to realize how inadvertently we abuse our bodies by sitting, standing and even sleeping incorrectly. Ashley has a way of teaching, that builds mental muscle as well, to correct any imperfect habits you have established over the years. Her attention to detail and performance quality will keep you engaged no matter what level you obtain. Ashley’s extensive dance background adds a quality of grace and perfection to each movement, as well as a discipline, that you will not find with many other Pilates instructors. 


Within in the U.S., she has taught in Los Angeles, New York and Kansas City. She has also taught international workshops and retreats in London, Dominican Republic and Santorini, Greece. 

PILATES RETREAT IN SANTORINI

Imagine doing a fluid practice of  Pilates and Yoga in one of the world's most beautiful islands. The beautiful city of Oia, Santorini will be your lovely host  for a 7 day trip of pure bliss. You will have the option to practice Pilates and Yoga, go on sailing adventures, relax at the beach, hike and enjoy delicious healthy food. It is my pleasure to partner with Sky Pilates and Yoga. They host Santorini retreats in May, July and September.
